I come to the Rural Financial Counselling Service with more than 25 years in State Government and Local Government (Riverina Local Land Services, Narrandera Shire Council (Councillor role), Murrumbidgee Catchment Management Authority, NSW Rural Fire Service and Snowy River Shire Council) community focused roles- working with Landcare, farmers, rural industry to facilitate sustainable agriculture; biosecurity; and emergency management across business units.  I love seeing rural communities, at large and at the farm/individual scale, strengthen and build resilience.

I spent much of my younger years ‘on the roads’ Droving with my parents and on the family farm at Gillenbah. This unique experience of living life at the grass roots level shaped me for team work, living with minimal environmental footprint, resourcefulness (living on a shoe-string budget and still enjoying life) and networking.  I’m an active member of the Country Women’s Association (CWA) at local/regional group level.
