I started working as a Rural Financial Counsellor at the end of 2021 coming to the role with 6 years of experience in the accounting field. I have recently returned to the role after some time off on maternity leave and I look forward to getting back to helping farmers through challenging times. I have completed my Diploma in Financial Counselling as well as a Diploma in Accounting.
I was born in South Africa and raised on my grandfather’s poultry farm. We moved to Australia when I was 12 years old to Cootamundra where I now live with my husband and our 3 girls. My husband does broadacre cropping and we are currently working to build up our cattle numbers.
I have seen the various factors that can influence farmers and I am passionate to help them navigate their business through these difficult periods. I am very determined to help farmers and their families succeed in an ever-changing environment.
The Rural Financial Counselling Service Program is funded by the Australian Government and the New South Wales Government and is administered by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
